I currently build three styles of acoustic guitars, the Orchestra Model (OM), the Modified Dreadnaught (MD), and my smaller-bodied OO. My instruments are very dynamic and respond to the lightest touch. Primarily they are well suited towards finger style players, however I can work with whatever your playing style might be to optimize the performance of the instrument.
Because I’m a custom builder I offer a limitless range of options for scale lengths, nut width and string spacing at the bridge. My standard scale length for my Orchestra model guitars is 25″ and my Dreadnaughts have 25 1/4″. My OO guitars typically have the shorter scale of 24.75″. Standard nut width is 1 25/32″ with a 2 1/4″ string spacing at the bridge for both models.
Every Kraut guitar is unique in its design. No rosette or inlay is ever reproduced and can be thoroughly discussed to match a suitable aesthetic for every individual. Any custom designs are welcome if there is a particular look you are trying to achieve.
BASE INSTRUMENT The introductory level instrument starts at $7,300 and features a non-cutaway body made with a Sitka Spruce soundboard and paired with East Indian Rosewood, African Wenge or Honduran Mahogany back and sides. The neck will be made from one piece of Honduran Mahogany and is accompanied by Alessi tuners. Offered is a range of different scale lengths as well as nut widths to accommodate individual playing preferences. All instruments come with a hard shell Cedar Creek case.
ORDERING Ordering a guitar direct first requires a $1,500 non-refundable deposit that will place you on my waiting list. Once I receive the initial deposit I send out an invoice for the remaining balance. That balance is due by the completion of the guitar and before it is shipped.
WARRANTY My instruments have a limited lifetime warranty to their original owner. This warranty does not cover any damage due to extremes in humidity or temperature, alterations or modifications, accidents or improper handling and misuse, and normal wear and tear.
SHIPPING After payment has been received in full, the instrument will be shipped to the client. Shipping and handling is not included in the guitar price.
